i have heard my mom say that i have always gone and caught a flame whenever i saw a lit candle or lamp in spite of getting burnt... *GRIN*
It's not just your kid...
I do that! Only it's the wall, the door frames, the corner of the kitchen table, the door frame of my van, the bedposts (OUCH!), etc., etc.,
My parents used to call me "Grace"-- and not in a kind way.....
yes some do ! LOL I one that had the go through it instead of around it syndrome :-) they do eventually out grow it!
